Armando “Manny” Touron

Manny was born in Havana, Cuba and emigrated to the USA at age 13. He earned Bachelors and Masters degrees, attending schools in NY and Connecticut, primarily on sports scholarships. He credits his involvement with sports for graduating high school and seeking post-secondary education. After earning his Bachelor’s degree, Manny spent 7 years in the classroom in NY and 7 years in Administration in NY and Connecticut before moving to Collier County. While in Collier County, Manny spent 17 years as an Administrator at all levels of education in both the public and charter schools. Throughout this time, Manny volunteered his time as an assistant coach to the Immokalee High School Boys Soccer Program. He continues to volunteer as a high school coach as he works to fulfill his vision of post-secondary scholastic and vocational opportunities for Immokalee Soccer Pit participants.
